Villa Maria College animation professors Sarah Hanson, Jonathan Cone and Glen Elhers, recently attended a Pixar MasterClass Conference in New York City where they had the opportunity to interact with and learn new animation and teaching techniques from the global animation giant's lead animator, Andrew Gordon and storyboard developer, Matthew Luhn. Gordon's work includes the creation of animated characters for such box office hits as "Monster's Inc."; "Finding Nemo" and "The Incredibles." Luhn has been responsible for developing storyboards for "Toy Story 3", "Cars" and the the acclaimed animation motion picture, "Up."
"We had a wonderful opportunity to learn from two of the most well-known talents at Pixar. We came away from the experience creatively inspired and full of new ideas to incorporate into our courses in the coming year and beyond," said Professor Sarah Hanson.
